Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how DocuClean ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you use our mobile application (the "App") that allows signing in with Apple or Google, and uploading images (PNG, JPEG) or PDF files to clean documents and make them printer‑black & white friendly.

1. Information We Collect

a) Information you provide

• Account information: When you sign in using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google we receive your authentication info from those providers via Firebase Authentication. This may include your email address and display name if you permit sharing. We only store what is provided by the provider and permitted by you.
• Uploaded files: You may upload images (PNG, JPEG) or PDF files to be cleaned. The App processes and stores cleaned documents (see "What we store" below).

b) What we store

• We do not store a copy of your raw uploads permanently. We store the links/URLs that point to the cleaned documents generated by the App (for example, URLs in our cloud storage or database) so you can access or download the results from the App.
• We may store minimal metadata such as timestamps and the cleaned file's filename or mime type to help manage the files and display them in the App.

c) Automatic and technical data

We may collect limited technical information needed to operate and secure the App (e.g., device type, operating system, crash logs and anonymized usage metrics). This information is used only to improve the service and help troubleshoot problems.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To authenticate you and provide access to your account (Sign in with Apple / Google via Firebase Authentication).
• To process and store cleaned document files and provide URLs so you can download or print them.
• To provide customer support, respond to deletion requests, and comply with legal obligations.
• To analyze and improve the App, fix bugs, and understand usage patterns (in aggregated or anonymized form whenever possible).

3. Third‑Party Services

The App uses the following third‑party services which have their own privacy policies. These services may process personal data on our behalf:

• Firebase (Google) — used for authentication, database and storage. Firebase’s privacy practices are governed by Google’s policies.
• Sign in with Apple and Sign in with Google — authentication providers. What we receive from them depends on your consent when you sign in.

We recommend reviewing the privacy policies of those providers as they may describe additional details about data they collect and how they process it.

4. Data Retention & Deletion

• We retain the links to cleaned documents and minimal metadata for as long as your account exists or as required to provide the service.
• You can delete your account and all associated data from within the App: Settings > Delete My Account. You can alternatively delete your data by visiting the deletion URL below.

5. Your Rights

GDPR / EEA residents: You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. You may also have the right to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise your rights please contact us at privacy@lastefania.com or use the in‑app deletion option.

California (CCPA): California residents may request access to, deletion of, or opt‑out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information as defined under the CCPA.

6. Security

We take commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected data from a child under 13, please contact us and we will take steps to delete that information.

8. International Transfers

Your information may be processed in countries outside your own. Where required, we rely on the data protection mechanisms provided by our third‑party providers or applicable legal safeguards.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. We will post the revised policy in the App and on our website with a new Effective Date. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably possible.
